Koem Nuon married Loem Mesa since 1986, and they have 3 sons. Nuon and Mesa are farmers and they runs business of growing yard-long bean, corn, and raise cow for 21 years in Kien Svay District, Kandal Province. Nuon’s husband, Mesa is a chef, and he is able to earn more income to support his family.

Nuon learns how to grow yard-long bean and corn from her neighbor. Nuon supplies yard-long bean to Olympic market in Phnom Penh. This is family business and at present they do not hire any workers, but her sons help in the business. Due to growth in business, Nuon wants to hire 5 workers.

In order to meet the rising demand of her clients, Nuon is in need of working capital to expand her farm for growing yard-long bean and corn. Nuon wishes to purchase seeds, pesticide, fertilizer, etc. Using loan from Maxima Microfinance Plc., Nuon will be able to increase the number of orders she could manage, and will result in 5 additional workers.
