“VJA Accents and Souvenirs Enterprises” started its operation in 2005. VJA stands for the first letter of Maridol Juanich’s three children. The business is engaged in shellcraft industry. Maridol, also known as Dol, is a graduate of BS Management and is married to Joseph Marcius. She and her spouse had an experience as marketing assistant and production manager for over ten years in Cebu Manufacturing and Exporting Rattan Furniture, which was an exporter in United States and Europe. Due to the international financial crisis, the company was affected and shutdown and paid their workers as mandated by law. With the experience and separation pay that Dol and her spouse received, they decided to put up a small business. They started as a sub-contractor of different local exporters of shellcrafts. Until one of the client from their previous employer contacted Dol and asked for a business that she can offer him. With that, the business operation has been continuously growing.
