Il-proġett
Noelle Pua Santos has a bachelor degree in Accountancy and currently lives in the Philippian capital Manila. When she worked for Polygrapichics Corp., she first contemplated the thought of starting her own company in the printing business. During her employment at Polygraphics Corp., she developed her idea into a viable business plan and resigned after two years to start her own company called Sonisa Paints and Prints.
There currently are 15 workers stationed at Sonisa, most of which are senior citizens, housewives and students that work part-time. They intend to hire 5 to 10 more employees the coming months because of the increasing demand during the Christmas season. Wages are above minimal and come with complementary meals each day. The employees sometimes assist medical teams in the area by giving additional medicines and by supporting a feeding program for the local homeless children.
Together with local partner NPFC will Lendahand support Noelle by providing a loan to finance the increasing supply needs and to pay for the extra employees during the peak season. The loan will be repaid in 12 months.
