Harold Javina of San Jose, Batangas owns a poultry business since 1996. It was first managed by his father but due to old age, the business was passed on to him. The business expanded with the additional financial assistance that was given to him by a relative. The name of his business was taken from his initials “HJ’s Poultry Farm”. Now, he has 10,000 heads of chicken that lays egg daily. Chicken waste are recycled and converted in to biogas and used as alternative source of fire for cooking. 

Harold’s team are composed of three girls and three boys that are provided with free shelter, food, aside from regular compensation.

Harold will acquire additional working capital to buy chicken. This will be provided by NPFC and LendAHand.
