Wilma Flores, a business woman owner of Wilma’s Puto Making which manufactures Puto (steamed rice cake) and Kutsinta (boiled rice with lye and brown sugar.) In 1972, her father who was fond of eating “kakanin” (delicacies made of rice products ) thought of starting the “kakanin” business through a small loan. And for more than three decades of manufacturing, Wilma now takes over the business with her daughter assisting her.

Wilma's Puto Making now have eight (8) regular workers and all are staying in her house with free board and lodging. She supplies her products to 35 vendors peddling around Marikina market and Commonwealth in Quezon City. Her business has been generating livelihood for families belonging to marginal Sector of society where most barely finish their secondary education.

Lendahand partners NPFC are helping Wilma’s Puto Making to get more raw materials to boost up production and support for incoming orders by giving a P100,000.00 working capital loan non-collateral payable in 12 months .
