Projekt

Michelle Sulibit is a 38-year-old mother of 3 that started the entrepreneurial life few years after graduating high school. Michelle learned how to make uraro or arrowroot biscuits when she graduated from high school and started working at an uraro producer. After just two years of acquiring knowledge and skills through her experience at this producer, she first started to play with the thought of producing biscuits of the root. Arrowroot cookies are made from arrowroot flour, which gives them their distinct delicate and powdery texture.

Over 15 years ago, Michelle ventured into the uraro biscuits industry by founding Mich Uraro Biscuits. Currently, Mich Uraro Biscuits currently employs 8 workers, with one of Michelle's daughters in charge of delivering the orders to several provinces nearby the factory. Although successful, she is not quite satisfied yet. She would like to sell her cookies on a larger scale and ultimately venture abroad as well.

Together with local partner NPFC will Lendahand provide a loan to Mich Uraro Biscuits in order for Michelle to increase her target market and to expand internationally in the future. The loan will be repaid in 18 months.
