Samuel Montuerto and his wife used to work in a garment company. They live in Taytay, Rizal which is known as textile industry in the Philippines. With the acquired skills and knowledge from their working experiences, they opened a business named “Sam-Ann RTW” in 2009. Their business is into manufacturing V-Neck shirts for men and women which are being distributed to their eight (8) regular clients that are engaged in wholesale/retail in Taytay Public Market. His business has also became an affiliate of Manila East Garment Association.

They only used 2 old sewing machines when they first started in 2009, the business grew steadily. Now the operate 12 sewing machines with 11 workers. All their workers are provided with daily meals, a place to sleep/live, and a decent salary.

NPFC together with Lendahand will grant a loan intended for additional working capital to meet the high demand in the market for the Christmas season and to purchase Korean textile to be used for the production of new clothes.
