Prosjektet

Jairo was working for many years for a dairy processing company. One day the company asked him to lead an experiment. He was asked to set up a distribution network for the dairy products. They assigned an exclusive region to him, the Soacha area near Colombia’s capital Bogotá. Jairo was very successful in setting up this network, therefore he started his own distribution company in 2005.

Jairo’s company is called’ La Gran Via’, which literally means ‘the big road’. Jairo works together with one employee, who helps him with the actual distribution of the diary products. He supports Jairo with the on and offloading of dairy products to various stores in the Soacha region.

Jairo will use the loan to establish a second distribution network. To start this network, he will order a new van and hire two employees to further set up this part of his business.

Lendahand and its local partner in Colombia (VSC) grant this loan to Jairo payable in 24 months to make this ambition reality.
