The project
Ms. Eleanor Omaque, a single proprietor was inspired from her siblings business where she was employed since college to support her needs in schooling. Her 11 years of experience working as a production head on her siblings handicraft manufacturing became her foundation in starting her own business. On 2011, she started her operations. With her own savings, she was able to put up her own fashion accessories manufacturing. By January 2015 she was able to formalize her business and named it after her last name, Omaque Beaded Workx. At present she employs 10 workers where 2 are classified as PWDs (persons with Disability), a deaf and mute. As a commitment to help her workers she has 2 scholars (children of her workers) where she supports their studies and provide free lunch to all her employees. Her products were being distributed to big malls in Cebu and some of her clients were also known personalities in different places in the Philippines. Through Manila Fame (exhibit of different products in big establishments), Ms. Eleonor met of NPFCs credit officers in Cebu and was granted a loan to purchase additional working capital to her increasing volume of orders.
